just a note...cs.com was going to sponsor a kid i knew with a rusted to shit 1972 ford maverick, that didn't even have an engine in it, as long as he payed the "fees"

 

lol, yeah i got an e-mail that said i was approved and 33 sponsors awaited me. they never seen my car or asked anything ! then the e-mail said one more step and that was enter my credit card...yeah ok! this kid definately has too much free time to make up all these stories and cars he has. too bad he is a new user and only post were on this post.

 

Prolly was a rep from cs.com.. the grammar was pretty good... he probably gets paid to spout that babble... The kid with the maverick paid the fees, and all they didwas send him some coupons for some APC shit..

 

Most of these places offer you a discount through several vendors. They do give you a discount but not better than you could get if you shopped around. Plus they got your money to start with.

I'm with Alpha I had to just about finish my car before I got sponsored and then most of them wanted me to jump through hoops and put crappy stickers everywhere.

You are best to take some really good pictures of your car and make a portfolio and send it to just the people you want. See what they want you to do for sponsorship and see if you can live with it.

Memphis Car Audio is great. They gave me over 3k worth of their stuff and only ask, "If there is a car show in your area can we have your car in our booth, if it is convienant for you." Like Adam Sandler said, HELL YEA!

 

I can guarantee one thing, if you would want an AEM EMS you wont find it cheaper anywhere than from CS. Like they are outrageously discounted through them, actually most AEM products are. Even after you account for the $89.00 fee you usually are still saving $400+ from what other vendors sell them for.
