so why are neons popular now(my rant)?
I remember way back when I bought my 96 acr. We were literally making our own preformance parts for it. My friend John took his 97 acr to Capt Nemos and had him swap in a 2.4l and his car ended up in one of the mags. His car was evil!, I remember how hard it was to get used to driving it. I was so pissed when I found out that the 2.4 turbo was coming out becaue at the time I couldn't get one. Now I have one and now I want is my old acr back
ya well reuardless i was just stating that dodges aren't bad but they're not my kind of car and alot of people think they're hard w/ there for the most part stock motor except for a CAI and a fancy 25 cent muffler, if you actually do things to your vehicles then awsome but would ur 3.0 beat a 75 corvette stingray or a 34 ford model t replica w/ a high performance 350 i don't think so but still anyhow i'm gonna get back to work

here's another kill story for dodge I was driving down SR54 in my 86 mercury cougar some kid thinking he's a hardass driving a stratus r/t is racing an intrepid we get to the madison stop light they're revving there engines they're racing I floor it and pass them then they try to go in front of me the kid in the stratus changes lanes and i go in front of him I waste him all the way to little road and I sand bag it a lil so he can try to pass then i gun it....2.4 liter stratus PFF nothing scary my cougar was running the 3.8liter V6 then it broke down now I have my 89 integra 1.6liter DOHC that isn't running yet but soon and I have a 92 lincoln towncar w/ 4.6liter overhead cam V8 and a 92 plymouth colt running a 1.5 SOHC I've raced cars of many haven't lost as much as i've won but i've lost plenty but have fun all the time

I wouldn't brag too much on beating a heavy ole FJ body witha 2.4L. I've got a 3.0L version that would make short work of all of the vehicles you have listed. And its still not what I call fast.

Compare my Stratus to a stroked 32? c'mon. But now the vette in 75 was about the slowest model ever built. I beat one 20 years ago driving a 78 Chevy pick up that I use to deliver appliances in. I think they went 15-16 sec. in the 1/4, so yeah I could race that.
BTW if I'm gonna come on here and internet bench race, I'm not gonna use my Stratus, GMC, or some former car I use to have.
I have a 75 vette stingray so i'm not bench racing http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/tunedc.../ph//my_photos there's a link it shows pics of the stingray and well if the stingray was stock then u may have a chance but it's got lotsa work done to it stuff tthat my father did to it and all i know is it's one of the fastest cars i've riden in well besides my dads model T.....so no bench racing here buddy

Those wrinkle walls off an 80 vette look pretty mean on there, so's you'll prob get me good on a dig. But when that front bra blows off and covers your windshield and you have to brake, I'll get you then.
See you have to be able to do it and have fun with it too.
And a 32 isn't a Model T maybe a 23, but not a 32.
I do admire the fact that you have a 92 Colt that is still running. Far outlasting the normal 7 year life span of most Jap products.
Let me know what the fastest car YOU have ever driven. And then we can bench race some more. I'm old and gots all kinds of stories.
either way the vette is mine the t-bucket is my dads and all i said was I liked my brothers duster he had till the son of the original owner tracked it down and bought it from us, and no i'm not bench racing and if I wanted to use my dads cars i'd bring out his '70 fast back he had b4 i was born or his '56 vette that killed his best friend cuz a drunk driver hit them which is how he got the fastback....or bring out my moms old GTO or something so no i'm not bench racing....i'm just sayin the vettes mine, colts mine, integras mine and the lincoln is mine, t-bucket is dads, maverick is dads, pt cruiser is moms, so reguardless i've had fun in this forum not flamming on anyone but dodge went horrid on tuners....now the colt doesn't take much to be made fast just swap in a mitsubishi 2.0t or a 2.4t and it'd waste any neon or srt-4 out there because of it's weight......that was the plan w/ the colt but instead i decided to keep the colt as a back up incase i don't feel like driving the lincoln while the acura when it's completed is the race car and the vette needs a full brake job so it won't stop LOL
