Is the cam journals the same in the new gen 2.4's as older 2.0 neon and 2.4 caravan motors?

It is lame in the NPR/Hudson area, there are some crazy fast cars but no one comes out....we are on a "Racing" forum and all that comes to the hudson/mitchell rd. meets are like 4 cars that actually race, 32 spectators that follow everyone in there Geo's and 15 underage high school alcoholics.....

yes, all 2.0DOHC and 2.4 use the exact same head, the 03-up head is just a different port design with a different oil return passage, the rest of the head is still the same

Know any cam specs?...I'm thinking about doing this, plus the 2.0L cams are cheap, and readily available

I know, I have a spare set sitting in the back of my car right now...I see a whole lot of posts around on the subject, but no real evidence of whether they help, they are almost certainly better than the stock SRT4 cams though(which I'm pretty sure chrysler just used from the NA 2.4 motors) they have a somewhat higher powerband and more lift than all stock 2.4 cams except maybe the 96 2.4 cams(have an extra set of those too) I would use one of those sets myself except I thought I should get some use out of my #14s after what I paid for them, but check on neons.org or srt4forums.com for many many speculation threads with no real evidence

Whats the point. I would cost 10x more to put them in, then the cost of the cams alone.

sure $40 is all I want for them, he right though, you would probably want to install them yourself, otherwise a shop is gonna charge you an arm and a leg
