Default battery location

im putting my battery in the trunk, from the trunk im running 4ga wire to the engine compartment under the hood im running a distribution block one goes to the fuse box and the other to the starter. i want to ground the battery in the trunk to a strut bolt. my question is what do i do with the negative terminal under the hood there are 2 wires on it one goes to the chassie and the other goes to the starter, should i run a 2nd wire for the ground or just cut the wires and ground them to the chassie?

I would ground them right under the hood.

ok its done, actually pretty easy, i cut the wires off the terminal and got rid of the one that went to the frame and just grounded the other to the frame works perfect and now i have plenty of extra room under the hood for some pipes.
