Default Rear end light during braking

I was braking from around 145 or so and i could feel the rear fish-tailing. I understand that braking will shift weight forward, but i don't fully understand why it would make it move back and forth like that. but more importantly, i was wondering if you guys knew what could be done to stop this.

I assume you mean an SRT4.
I cannot explain what causes it, but I have experienced it. The one thing that helps TREMENDOUSLY is lowering the car.

My guess would be that the weight transfer makes the rear end much lighter, and there is not enough down force to keep it planted.

A neon Is not a sports car - it wasn't meant to run at 145

It's not a design flaw, it's not a mechanical deficiency, it's not a broken part - it's simply not what the car was designed to do in the first place!

Sorry - it's been too long - I had to say something

Thats probably why he was braking :bbb:

Any spring will lower it enough to rid the problem. BTW
The highest speed limit I have run into is 85MPH.....145???

I hit 150 the other night in mine. I didn't notice this issue but my buddy that I passed at that speed said the car was kinda moving side to side in the back a little bit.

if you get a big alumnium wing this will stop the tail lifting.
