Before the DeltaWing Coupe can head out onto the racetrack during a TUDOR Championship event, it must first pass IMSA technical inspection. IMSA looks at two main areas: Conformity to the homologation and continuity race to race.

Tech Inspection can be broken down into four main stages:

Safety: The harnesses, fire extinguishers, kill switches, and labeling are all checked. Separately, expiration dates are checked on all driver and crew fireproof suits, underwear, shoes, and helmets.

IMSA Regulations: The dimensions of the car are measured to make sure they are smaller than the maximum, and the car is weighed to make sure it is above the minimum. On track, officials monitor the rpm and boost levels.

Fasteners: The car is checked, inside and out, for any unsecured components, especially hoses, electrical cables, and belts that might chafe and fail.

Scoring: All driver helmets are tested to make sure the right name is transmitted and received to timing and scoring. The position lights are run through a test cycle to check for bad LEDs.
