Default Redrilled Hubs

I've searched for this topicx, but came up with a lot of swaps or conversions instead.

I'm new to the bay area and am looking for a place that can fill and redrill my hubs. I'm going from 4x108 to 5x114.3. I have adaptors but they are being an eye-sore for my wheel-to-caliper distance. I have NIB hubs and bearings ready to go.

Cheers
Mike

I would almost bet you that no one can fill and drill 5 holes where 4 once were
and be able to do so at a reasonable cost, while keeping the wheel centered.

Sell the old wheels and buy new ones. That way the new wheels will run true
instead of "egging" or "ovalling" as the tire rolls.

The alternative is to PAY to get the rims filled and drilled.
Be dissatisfied with the results.
Sell the old wheels and buy new ones....final analysis=pay more than if they
were not filled and drilled.

.....and it goes without saying that when you sell wheels that won't run
true, you will get a bad rap somewhere! ebay, paypal, etc or get the tar beat
out of you when the buyer gets his hands on you.

I did something similar on my car a while back. I just had the hubs and rotors redrilled for the new pattern, pressed the new wheel studs in, and bolted my wheels up. There was enough material I didn't need to have the other holes filled. I'm new to Tampa as well, don't know of any machine shops here. I took mine to an engine machine shop and told them what I wanted to do. They sent me to another shop with a lathe.

Moser engineering use to do this, the axle place. And yes it can be done, as long as the hub that holds the rotor is not scalloped but fully round. We use to send Ford Pinto rotors (4 lug) and have them redrilled into 5 lug. Just checked their website, they still do it.
