i always recommend the R6 over the A6 because it can handle higher speeds better than the A6. i would say the A6 temps would be best at speeds below 60, anything over that and they might blow up.

plus he's running a 195's which imo is too thin, this tire is a 275!

I don't believe you're going to get enough heat in a Hoosier to blow it up in 15 seconds or less no matter how fast you go.

But, we're off-topic. Doesn't matter what tire you use, suspension setup is still an issue that needs to be addressed.

Since my last post, I have cut a 2.3 60ft.
That was with new 205/55/15 primewell pz900s(30~ psi) and using a 4500 rshared_pm two step.

Next time street heat rolls around, I will be playing with tire pressure some more.
I also now have the rear preloaded quite a bit, so we'll see how it all plays together.
I'm gunning for atleast a 2.2 60ft.

For me they seem to be a pretty decent tire.

By the way, you aren't Jim by chance are you?

no but i know Jim, i'm also in the process of going turbo myself (with a different engine) as soon as i get a job.

the pz900 is a ok tire if you have a diff with a few light mods for drag racing, with my open diff i can spin them like crazy in first.

Nice man, good luck with the turbo setup.

I should clarify, there are ok, but they won't hold a dump off the line, but then again they aren't slicks.
Ill see what I can do with them at 15 psi next event.

Fox,
What do you think the results are using the preload suggestions people mentioned, but
running 15 pounds of air in a road racing tire?.....a later post.....

Wouldn't the preload suggestions work better on a tire that was supposed to go wrinkle-wall?
Your thoughts, please.-Bob
