Default Need ref. for rep. cage builder

Looking for a few cage builders to get ballpark quotes from. Can call or you can pm me on here if you're a builder. The cage is for SCCA improved touring, 1.5in x .120 steel tube, 8 points, "nascar" bars in both doors, petty bar, rear cross brace, dash bar, etc. The cage is going into a 98-99 VW Beetle. I do have a pic of a partial cage(rear down tubes need to be straight). Let me know if you can do it or know of someone who would be able to do so.

There are a few places that do great fab work. You should check out LHT Performance in Pinellas County.

Call Ricky @ 352 553 6175
He works fom his home shop in Ocala. He does lots of Club cages. I haven't seen any LHT cages just their cars which are not Club cars. Ricky works for a very fair price, I paid $1200 for my Production car last year. Your really going to build a Beetle? Are you looking to be competitive?

Seven: 1st place engineering. 813-333-1100

Cromo Cages are $150 per Chassis point assuming you strip the interior. Our Fabricator is a licensed chassis builder for several circle track series. and has done quite a bit of Club car work.. where my personal experence is mostly Stage Rally Car cages. which may be overkill for your application... between the two of us we can put together somthing that will really impress you.

also we have all the SFI, FIA and Various club certification standards and can have a 3rd party verification done if your ruleset requires it. (which most road racing clubs do not) unless your subistuting an "alternate design"

so typical SCCA/NASA/BMWCCA "club" level cage being 8 point is a total cost of $1200 all included.

Thanks
Jeff

Called Ricky, wasn't sure if he was able to understand what i was looking for. Sent more pics and haven't heard back yet. But you're the second person to recommend him.

Tree Killer send me your email so I can send a couple pics of what I'm looking for.

Yes we are going to build a beetle. We should be very competitve (ITC). Waiting to hear back from the CRB about a couple changes I'm looking for in the spec line. Oh, BTW, we might be the first ones to campaign the beetle in Improved Touring.

NBS performance in Pinellas Park. Awesome cage builders, they built the one in my old Swift for SCCA competition. Normally they build NHRA drag cars, but nothing is out of there abilities. Ask for Dave or Andrew 727-541-1833

Two people that I would recommend to do a roll cage......one has already been mentioned.

Another would be Ted at Creative Motorsports. 352-588-9621 unless he changed it.

He built an SCCA Beetle for his first driver's school years ago,
and now builds cages for cars that race the Daytona 24 Hour Race.

He knows how to tie in the mounting points for maximum handling and frame stiffness.-Bob

I have to +1 Senor Honda's suggestion of Ted at Creative. He is a brilliant fabricator who has built many SCCA cages and complete chassis. And he is very reasonable on prices.

I have a few pictures of a chassis he is building right now if your interested in an idea of the kind of things he does.
