I have a few pictures of a chassis he is building right now if your interested in an idea of the kind of things he does.
I accept your offer.-Bob

sorry for the delay Senor Honda, i have been busy. But here you go.

The project is a 66 GTO that is getting a full road race style chasis, but will be a fully finished street car. The wheels and tires are going to be intermediate track tires 12" wide front, and 14" wide rear tires with 14" rotors with i believe 6 piston race calipers. The car is going to have a full interior with leather and suede everywhere. The drive train in a blown LSx with tranzilla 6 speed behind it. the chasis is all 1.75" tubing except the backbones triangulation supports which is 1" tubing. All tig welded. It is a back bone style chasis like what corvette's have. The idea on the chasis was to build something unlike anything ever seen before. I think we accomplished this. And for the record I work for Ted K. at Creative, and had a minor hand in this project.

First mock up with wheels and tires on the floor.

And the chasis on the table

sorry about the kinda crappy shots they were all taken with my Crackberry because I dont have a digital camera right now. and the triangulated supports on the back bone are only tacked in place right now, they havent been final welded yet. dont worry they will be.

Ted is a pretty well kept secret.....

This car reminds me of the old Pontiac that Herb and some of the Pontiac engineers briefly ran in the Trans Am series...........it embarrased some big team Mustangs and Cameros first time out.........and after Car and Driver did an article with cutaway drawings........SCCA made it harder for them to do well...essentially stifling legal innovation.....the Trans Am series died a short time later.
....my recollection.....-Bob

J.D. Rhorigh a friend of Ted's was recently telling me about that same GTO. From what he said, the GTO kicked everyones ass by quite a large margin, and then rules got all redone because of it, and like you mentions Trans Am went to the way side shortly there after.
