Default problem with TEIN S-TECH, TOO LOW

hey TR. i was just wondering if anyone has tein s tech on their car and had a problem with the front ones being too low. I have a 93 acura integra.

i left my car in st pete to get the springs put in. so far i have kyb agx adjustable in the front and kyb gr2 gas shocks in the back.

the car got fixed 2 weeks ago. Came to st pete from gainesville to check out the car and im a little disappointed on how the front is way low. its so low, im not sure if i can even adjust the camber PROPERLY without it rubbing on my fenders.

i would post pictures but i dont have a camera now. was wondering if anyone from st pete can take a look at this tomorrow (saturday) while im here.

HOpe someone chimes in soon.

I find the Tein S-tech two low and too softly sprung. for any real performance application. It's designed as a "style master" and that's were it stands, you can always add some spring blocks to raise the ride. also did you make sure the installer got the fronts and rears correct. as the rears on that application are most likley siginfigantly lower rate.

If you need me to look at it, stop by or call 813-333-1100

Joe,
I'm continually amazed at some peoples ingenuity when messing up a person's car.....most of the time the person paid too much...LOL........and I've had plenty of cars brought to me to be properly fixed.

Springs....
I check front/rear springs by part number to get them on the correct end......even then, some people buy the wrong springs/shocks.....some sellers are not honest, some sellers are not competent....

Struts........
Most of the time the front and rear shocks/struts are not easily interchangeable........

It's hard to daignose a problem without seeing the car....If you want someone to look at it, bring it over...no charge for second
opinions.......-Bob

I agree with Treekiller. S-Techs are for looks. They're almost always too low and too soft for street use... and forget about performance use.

Thanks to SEÑOR HONDA i got my car's suspension setup right.

just so everyone knows what the car looked like before the suspension was touched, here are a few pics

back in 04-05.... stock suspension, holy fenderwell gap!

with piece of shit dropzone coilovers + kyb agx front and gr2 rear. riding on this crappy setup for nearly 3-4 years.

March 2009 replaced the dropzones with tein s-tech. slammed the car too much. ball joint was constantly hitting the top front fenderwell.

Señor Honda, you are the man!

Joe, Thanks for the kind words.-Bob

20S2K,
In addition to installation of aftermarket springs, and solving suspension problems created by others, after careful measuring of a suspension, I have the equipment to sometimes cut springs.

I seem to be the only one I know that can cut springs properly without springs flopping around, without suspensions getting beat up, and without tires being eaten. My car has been seen by hundreds of people at meets who can verify that on cut springs, it sits 3" lower than stock. I also carry pictures with me that everyone can see.

My thoughts on cutting springs can be read in sections 1, 5, 8, 12
and you can also read opposing opinions from people who cannot do what I do. here is the link:

If you want me to look at your car, get back with me.-Bob
