Welded diffs AKA: the Lincoln Locker. are really only good when you want to go straight, or you want to break the wheels loose. Limited slips are almost always going to offer better performance since you can choose the biasing rate by which unit you choose.. Now keep in mind good diffs are not cheap. so for a budget builder some times the locked diff is the only solution. but in most cases a LSD with the features you want can be sourced... but it's going to cost.

Ok thanks treekiller, I get it now... So if I want better performance but does not have enough budget to buy limited slips, then welded diffs could be a wise option.

Thanks!

"Can" and "should" are two very different things. It's really not a good idea unless all you ever intend to do with the car is go straight.

lets just say turning would be a nightmare. tires would get chopped up harder on the steering cause of the added stress for turning both tires at the same speed

Does Someone need a hug? Perhaps because no-one ever answered the poster, Go E-thug somewhere else. I have neither the time nor the inclination to read meaningless Thuggery posts.
