There's nothing to break in with springs, they are just steel. If you got a whole new suspension setup, it might take some time before things settle completely. If you only got springs put in, nothing will change. Maybe you can trade someone for some different springs, just make sure that next time you get the springs you need. You could also use shims or spring rubbers in the rear to increase the ride height in the rear. If you like the way the rear sits though, I'd try to find some new springs for the front.

Sam, I go along with what enigma says that springs
don't need settling.-Bob

That if a spring is too short, the spring is too short, and it doesn't matter if you paid $300 for a brand new too-short spring, or if you made them too short all by yourself.-Bob
---------
When someone wants me to lower their car with cut springs, the secret is in understanding how the suspension works, and measuring the suspension. I seem to be the only one on TR who can successfully cut springs without springs flopping around, without suspensions getting beat up, and without the tires being eaten up. AND I CAN PROVE IT.

When anyone wants to see for themselves that what I'm talking about is true, get
back to me.-Bob

So what would of been the correct measurment 1 coil or half coil because me and (name deleted) did measure and the heighth was right but how do you measure spring rate or load GUESS that what cut springs are a big guess

While (name deleted) may be a nice well-meaning person, in his postings, he has admitted that he doesn't know how to shorten coils, and has admitted that he doesn't think it CAN be done, and my "guess" is that he doesn't know how to check spring rates. He has said some other things that I can *show* to be incorrect, but I don't need to prove anyone wrong, or use words like "back to this crap". If you and (name deleted) worked on your car, and you are not pleased with it, it looks like it's between you guys, and I am not involved.

3 general rules:
1.Don't take your car to someone who doesn't know how to do a certain job.

2.Don't take your car to someone who doesn't think he CAN do a certain job.

3.Don't take your car to someone who believes he can't do what you ask him to do.
-----------
It's possible that it bothers him that I can both: 1. install aftermarket springs as well as 2.shorten stock springs without them flopping around, without the springs beating up the suspension, and without the tires being eaten......................something that I can actually *show* you, or anyone else that wants to take a ride with me.

Default Aftermarket Springs vs Modified Springs (I Do Both)

----------------
I find that good shocks keep a car from bottoming, and stiff springs cause a car to lose grip in the turns, a lot of times because the stiffness causes the car/tires to bounce around, instead of following the road contours. Negative camber on some cars will cause reduced grip due to less tire contact in the turns.
--------------
If you are planning to really slam the car down, you might have to get both adjustable-height shocks and springs from the same manufacturer. When some MFG's claim "X" amount of lowering, it can only be achieved by using THEIR spring/shock combination.
--------
There are several things to be measured *in addition to* tire/wheel well clearance. A spring that's too short for your particular suspension is
too short whether you paid $300 for it, or made it too short all by yourself........................something that not everyone on this site understands.

And a spring that's too short, no matter how you got it too short, is what flops around loose, eats tires, and beats up your suspension.
----------
Some people have me precisely measure and cut their stock springs while they are saving up for expensive aftermarket springs, and I am the only person I know who is able to precisely measure, to avoid the above problems.
--------------
My reply is based on my experiences, and not internet "research"
of crappy car repairs. If you want to verify that all I say is true, you can ride with me sometime.-Bob
