help me set up my suspention.
I have minor stuff done now, but i plan to start over.. itll be one of those things that i get slowly, piece by piece since im poor. Its a 99 integra ls, It has falken azinez 615's 215-45-16 which will stay, I dont want to buy a set of $1000 coil overs or somthing, I want it to handle good but still give a decent ride at a reasonable price.. is this asking to much??
im also looking for sway bars and whatever else would help as well.. I love to play around on the twisty roads. I know it gets expencive, but thats ok as long as im not just dumping 1k on one part ya know?
I just really dont know the differances between sizes, brands ect..
type/size of sway bars, strut bars ect??
hmm, your budget is pretty hard, so you can't expect to get really good suspension stuff or have a full suspension. Most brands are very similar, I would say IMO some of the best suspension stuff would be koni, cusco, zeal, and maybe tein.
I don't know how good your skill is, but I would probably start with something pretty basic first. Are you planning on doing track days or autocrosses in addition to cornering on the road? If so, I would def. get coilovers. I mentioned Koni shocks because that is what many people use at autocrosses and I have heard they handle pretty well on the street (there are adjustable koni shocks too).
I would say just stick with the springs and shocks for right now and get acquainted with that suspension and then worry about the sway bars. Just slapping on a sway bar without knowing what it will do won't really help. You have good tires already (probably the best street tire), so you are good in that area.
$360 for 4 shocks for the koni adjustable, and I know swift springs are about $300, but there are many springs out there to choose from.
