After recovering from yet another knee injury Ive decided to lay off skating but I still needed some way to work off the chub. I picked up a new pair of running shoes and have started running again. I dont think Ive hurt this much since I tried using one of those damn ab roller things. Still though its fun Ive missed running. Anyone else here run and know of some decent scenic spots? Im sick of running around building complexes.

Davis island is nice to run very scenic. There is also a two mile course we have set up on campus that we just do two laps. IM me sometime hell when ya get fastcome on out and run with us we run about a 7-8 minute mile pace..for typically about 35 minutes lately although we are gonna trade some speed to stretch it to 10 ish miles on alternating days and maybe do speedwork (sprints) on the others you should not have any probs with those..they are fun
thanks Tony Ill keep all that in mind.
Right now Im just keeping it at an easy 2miles every other day until I can get back into the routine. Once I get back into running shape Ill give you a call and try to keep up.

What kind of knee injury is it? If its anything regarding cartilage or lack there of you should really avoid running at all costs. I found that the Eliptical cardio machines at most gyms are pretty comfortable on my crunching knees. Bicycling is another excellent low-impact cardio workout.

Sprained/twisted knee I guess youd call it. Last time it happened I was doing a tailslide on the lip of a bowl slipped and my knee ended up twisting underneath me. I could walk fine but it was painful as hell. Its taken a while for it to heal and now I can finally move it side to side without any pain. Running doesnt hurt it at all but I run with a knee brace just to reinforce it a bit.
