5 years and no raise whatsoever is ridiculous. I'm going to go along with what most of these guys are saying... ask for the raise again. Bring up the fact that you have been there for 5 years and your cost of living is going up. He has to understand that. It is also a good strategy to go in and initially ask him what you think of your performance (a la maite). If no raise comes within a month or two of talking with him... begin shopping your resume around.
