Default Really honey...it'll get cheaper

It seems like that's what I keep telling her, "Relax, I'm almost done buying stuff."
Then a week goes by and I realize I need to pick up some more stuff for the new hobby...home brewing. So now I've got a fridge in the pool room for dispensing (ie: kegerator), a keg in the bathtub fermenting, kegs in the garage, brewing equipment all over the house, and now I'm picking up a HUGE used fridge tomorrow for lagering/fermenting. By next year I think I'll either have one hell of a brewery going or Vanessa will be divorcing me and kicking me out on the street.

My first batch is coming out of secondary fermentation this weekend so if it's good I might consider throwing some type of get together in the near future. So far, from my various samplings, it looks like it'll be a decent beer. I'm also brewing a Belgian Dubbel this weekend so hopefully it goes well too. Only issue I see is that these are only five gallon batches. I've seen you guys drink and I'm pretty sure I'll need a decent stock of brew before any type of gathering can happen.

Sounds like you need to go shopping and by more beer makin shit.

BTW, If you don't advertise a "sampling" party soon... I may be forced to "do a code inspection" of your brewing facilities, in order to ensure you are up to "code"....

I swear, it took me like thirty seconds before I realized what you were talking about. Code inspection? My house has no code. Maybe he means the stuff I coded for fun? Code, code....OHHHHHH.....Housing Codes. I'm such a geek.

Anyways, I did another tasting of the brew today and well...it's not what I thought it'd be. Not to bore anyone with process details but I added too many hops to the boil and this resulted in my English Brown Ale turning into what I'd wager is a pretty decent English Bitter. I love bitters but I was brewing this one as an everybody beer. Oh well, I might let it sit a few more weeks and see if it'll mellow.
