road bike crew checking in!! jerm if you want to do distance riding on the road...you want a road bike...not a mountain bike.

im thinkin about a mountain bike too... i plan on doing the same kinda stuff, messin around on trails, doin some uphill cycling near my gf's house for excercise....etc.

Sounds like it would be kick ass exercise. Which I do need...but I think I would get a heart attack if I even got anywhere near an uphill.
