ps speaking from experience- there's two ways making a living at something you love can work out.
1. you're as happy as a clam. i mean, you're getting PAID to do what you love.
2. you are being forced to do what you loved. you dont have a choice and now it's an obligation. that makes it suck and now you hate it.

My wife supports it either way, I am very fortunate that she looks at my race stuff the way she does. She told me she knows my car / race stuff is what keeps me balanced.
Of course my kids / wife always comes first with me, otherwise I never would have mentioned that aspect.
Still leaning towards not taking it since watching my children acomplish things if far more important to me than anything I need to do.
Thanks for all the imput this far, feel free to add more if you feel inclinded to. Making up my mind tomorrow so I can put it behind me, I do not like open issues like this.

From an old fart who misses his kids...
Even one day with your kids is too precious to lose if it's not for something that will enhance the rest of the days you do have with them. Time flies when you're not looking and one day they are gone with a life of their own. Personally, I'd just stick with what you've got and be happy knowing that they thought enough of your pics to make the offer.

I look at it this way Scott, that photog deal will NEVER be able to replace your career in Real Estate. If it could, I'd do it, and see what happens, but since it can't, why risk home sales, property mgmt issues, missing your kids achievements etc.

Decided to pass on it since I get homesick for my kids if I am gone more than a day or two.
