At TampaRacing.com we strive to provide a relaxing educational safe
and

fun environment for local car enthusiasts both on and off of the Internet.

Our goals include:


* Joining local car enthusiasts together in a friendly manner.


* Providing a place where enthusiasts of all types of cars - domestic

import or otherwise -&nbsp; can share knowledge and experiences.


* Giving the local enthusiasts as a whole a more respectable image.


* Providing an understanding and fun environment where enthusiasts can
share

interests besides their cars thus allowing us to learn more about
our peers.


To achieve these goals we provide an Internet bulletin board to our
members

the enthusiasts where they can relax be entertained share stories

experiences and technical knowledge.&nbsp; The bulletin board is a
privilege

so please use them accordingly.


We do not advocate street racing or any other illegal activity
in our quest

to turn around the common poor reputation or misrepresentation of local
car

enthusiasts.


We do advocate racing at legal sanctioned events.&nbsp; Some of these
events

include racing at the drag strip on road courses at auto crosses
rally

events or in any other legal racing environment.


We also strive to provide a place off of the Internet where local enthusiasts

can meet each other in person and get to know each other in a friendly
and

fun manner.&nbsp; TampaRacing.com meets such as Dyno Days track get-togethers

and other legal events and meets will be called periodically by the

administration for the enjoyment of the members and local enthusiasts.


Through these things we hope to help our members and the general public
come

to a better understanding of who we are and what the local car enthusiast
is

really about.


All car enthusiasts who wish to be a part in our goals are welcome.

If you are one of those who wish to be attain the aforementioned for
yourself

and the enthusiasts around you TampaRacing.com was made for you.

I think many of the new members are missing the point of TampaRacing.Com we are not about street racing burnouts gandy etc. The core of TampaRacing.Com are true car enthusiasts who are looking to improve the image of local races be it auto-x drag etc. We understand if this is not your cup of tea but please respect the rules of conduct on TampaRacing.Com.

 

The mission statement maybe modified at anytime by administration but this is pretty much the Mission Statment that CriX B16a had emailed to me after the last moderator/admin meeting. Thanks Denise.

 

Great job on the mission statement Denise! Now we need to get it posted on the main board where is cant disappear in the forum. This is one of the many changes that are coming to TR.com and some are going to be VERY drastic. Personally I cant wait.

 

Although I have already told her good job Denise on the mission statement. There needs to be a HUGE link to it on the main page as well as an announcment made on top of the forums.

Nah. We wish for our ideals to hold in the quest to change the image of at least ourselves and whoever wishes to join us. If we were to be involved in a site like that it would go against what we are trying to achieve. We dont want the general public OR the ploice to look at all enthusiasts and think Damned Trouble Makers. Thats how steroetypes get started and how a poor image comes along. We love our cars we love racing AND we LOVE BEING RESPECTED. To get respect you ahve to earn it and thats what we strive to do.

ALSO! We arent saying that we will disrespect people that street race. That is a personal decision. We just cant go getting invloved in illegal things as TAMPARACING.COM. Therefore we will not tolerate posts about going out to the illegal events nor should people who do chose to go out be considered a representative of TampaRacing.com. Everyone is still welcome but street racing isnt the only racing around. Although a stop light battle can be fun these organized street racing events have proven dangerous and they get people in trouble.
