I dont get it. When did this site become a so called car club? I thought it was just a BBS to shoot the shit and stuff. Can you guys honestly say all 600 or whatever members think theyre in a car club? I never considered it a club Im just another registered user of this BBS and others. People only need to be responsible for their self. By calling this BBS a club its like you guys are just trying take on responsiblity for all people who just happen to be registered users of this BBS. Why would you want a headache like that? ------------------

Thats why I dont consider myself a member of any club. Thats just my 2˘ though. I associate with local enthusiasts though. I hang out with them. I talk about cars with them. I help manage the BB. I care about most of the people because some are my personl friends.
...we also strive to provide a place off of the Internet where local enthusiasts can meet each other in person and get to know each other in a friendly and fun manner. I dontt hink it has to be a club to do all of the afformentioned things.

Well said Denise! I see good positive changes in the future for TampaRacing.com and its members and I for one am proud to be part of it. Im glad we have a place to meet and converse with like-minded people. TampaRacing is an awesome place and I love to see the positive change. Also I like to see the change in how the police are with us. I believe we are begining to reflect our mission statement although it was recently posted. Ive also learned that co-operating with the local law enforcement is not hard and not all of them are out to get you. Ive met 2 that are and scores that arent. I applaud the TampaRacing Admin and members who assist in making this place great and helping to enable performance-minded people to contact each other and meet while still being in compliance with the local law enforcement.

Thats cool Denise. I see what you mean. Im no trying act like an ass or give you administrators grief. Im just confused about the intent of this BBS. Ive read a lot of garbage lately. Seems a lot of new posters are required to bow down to someone who has 1000 posts for some rediculous reason or another. A little too much policing going on for my taste. Why cant a female post without getting hit on 30 times. Is this tamparacing or tampadating? Shit like that makes me wonder. But I must say that I have met a lot of very nice people through this BBS.

Stay with us through this transition period Flounder. We had a lull period here for about 2-4 weeks where we acquired a lot of new members with no knowledge of how this site is directed. So I suppose right now we are in a heavy period of policing for that reason. I personally think its fucking retarded when somebody hits on a girl on the internet and I usually tell them that when I see it. Things will be more clear in a few weeks...stick it out it should be worth it.

Also - Flounder...I understand EXACTLY what you are and were saying! I see this place as somewhere where people can get together talk about are cars try and understand each other without bashing or hooking up with chicks and just have FUN and share our interests! We all have two things in common already: Our Hometown and Racing! Sometimes we have to cover our asses though. We never said that we had anything against street racing...it just cant be a part of this BB or our get togethers! Its a liability and a crime and we never hear the end of it!
Show and shine is coming up in late February (not a judged car show just a meet to show off our cars) and hopefuly we will have the time to organize a track meet. Im also hoping to pull alot of members with me to the next autocross! Cones are our friends!
