Need some info on any Nissan gurus I'm trying to install power steering on a Nissan hardbody that did not come with power steering from the factory will the power steering off of a twin cam ka frontier fit on a single-cam hardbody???

 

As light as the car is, are you sure it even needs power steering?

The more things on a car, the more things there are to break.

It needs pwr. steering. Came factory the very next year also, I'm running 245/45/17 tires so it's a real workout at low speeds or u turns. Lastly, being manual, any time I don't have both hands on the wheel it reminds me how badly I want power steering so, I'm hoping someone has input as to weather or not I can swap the whole system off a wrecked frontier (dohc) to my single cam. It all looks the same so I'm gonna pull it all and see how it goes. Worst case I'm out 136 bucks for the parts at the local junk yard.

 

When I go to LKQ around Tampa Bay, they mark parts and give me 30 days to return them, so I'm not out any money.

Hardest part for me is to FIND the part which I need.
Looks like junk yard recyclers wait a certain number of days and then grind up the cars.
Maybe the u-pull-it part is just extra income for them.

Down side is the recyclers are slowly sending their income to the grinder......
You can no longer find a certain year of car anymore,
the recyclers are forced to sell at scrap metal prices,
and if you don't walk in one day before grinder day, you can't spend any money there on used parts.

--------------. I checked the inventory online before I go there's still a few of my truck laying around there they're mostly picked apart good thing is they haven't changed much over the years except they put a twin cam in
