1989 Jetta Wolfsburg Project
1989 Jetta Wolfsburg $750 OBO
1.8l 8v with euro g-grind cam (not sure on the exact specs)
5spd (clutch grabs well and doesnt grind in any gear and shiter is smooth)
unknown mileage, cluster has issues, replaced speedo cable when i got it, odo rolls sometimes
no a/c (don't know, never looked at it) has p/s
Alpine White/Blue Interior
all original, No Mods
brand new tires
good brakes, good suspension
all windows roll up and down fine, crank sunroof works great with no squeaks, squeels, or other issues
NOT CURRENTLY RUNNING. Motor ran fine until i started replacing the timing belt, did a little here and there but never finished, just needs to be timed, and put back together it has been repainted original alpine white but i have no idea how long ago, paint shines great and isnt chipping or flaking from anywhere and isnt faded. Interior is very near mint, dash isnt cracked, headliner is still holding well, and there are no tears or rips in the seats except one small seam has come loose on the driver seat. isnt very bad at all, could probably be restitched very easily.
new:
Spark Plugs and Plug wires
Distributor cap and Rotor
Air Filter
Fresh oil change
new AFM
speedometer cable
V- Belts
Battery
valve cover gasket
coolant inlet and outlet flange o-rings
some other stuff, can't think right this second
needs:
valve seals soon, not too bad, only smokes above 5500 RPM
a/c looked at (looks like it's been converted to R134a but not really sure, never bothered with it)
will need new cluster if you care about having a working odometer (tach and speedo work fine, all other guages appear to be working fine as well)
NEEEEEEEDS more low soo bad
comes with everything to make it run, brand new timing belt and tensioner, Techtonics adj. cam gear, misc. gaskets, valve seals, basically everything to make the car a daily, also comes with pacesetter header and a set of 14in imolas (mk3 jetta gt wheels for any newbz)
