FS: 01 GTI Auto needs work in Orlando
price $2800obo KBB listed at $5400 in average condition.
OR open to trades that are auto only.
Reason for sale: i dont have a usable place to work on it nor do i have the time anymore to work on it. so its perfect for anyone who has both of those things. i hate to let it go, but its time to more onto to something that requires less work.
01 volkswagen gti 1.8 turbo

power windows and sunroof, a/c, power steering, ABS
the major bad:
the major one: oil pressure light on due to sludge build up. 18 psi at idle. There is also a ticking noise from the motor. I am almost convinced that the ticking is the valves from not getting enought oil due to the sludge issue. perfect for someone who has the time and place to repair it.
Enigne:
around 95000 (daily driven so maileage changes)
Removed SAI system
New oem oil pick up tube (dec 09)
new oem dogbone mount (nov 09)
neuspeed filter attached to maf
gli hybrid oil pan and pick up lines (jan 07)
hyperboost diverter valve (jan 06 )
new braided w/ AN filltings oil feed line (march 09)
SAI block off plate (feb 09)
new valve cover gasket (jan 09)
new oem oil pressure sensor (jan 09)
new battery (feb 08 )
new coilpacks (less than 12 months old)
misc hoses replaced due to normal wear/tear 5 total thus far
new oem coolant housing (nov 07)
Suspension/brakes/wheels:
gti 20th suspension (shocks/springs) (jan 07)
16' OZ racing wrc white rims need painting
Tires 205/55/16 85% on the front and 30% on the rears
Neuspeed ss front brake lines (aug 08 )
mintex brakes pads (aug 08 )
new sway bar bushings (jan 07)
Interior:
jetta folding close a/c vents
aftermarket cd player
plaid headliner (feb 08 )
painted black interior pillars (feb 08 )
gli center console with armrest delete
stock headlight switch w/ drl disabled
replaced sunroof drainage tubes (feb 08 )
Exterior:
debadged rear except for vw badge
rear wiper removed and plugged
s2000 antenna
gti 20th headlights (slight haze that can be buffed out)
borsh icon wipers (july 08 )
mirrors painted rubberized textured paint (sep 09)
maintenance and etc:
93 oct at every fill up
recently bar clayed whole car (less than 7 months ago)
washed every 2-3 weeks
waxed every month to month and half
oil change w filter every 3 months or 3-3500 miles with castrol syn
window regulates changed at volkswagen (nov 07)
spark plugs changed every 6 months or 6-7k miles (last on 5-28-09)
the bad:
some light scratches on the rear bumper
2 quarter size paint chips int the front bumper
check engine light on due to SAI removal and o2 sensor reading low voltage
led lights behind speedometer burnt out
some squeaking from front suspension due to control arm bushings
Fuel pump does not read actuate. sender needs adjustment (vagcom?)
door fabric has come undone. needs re glue / re wrap of fabric
two fading paint spots on roof and hood
Pictures will be updated soon. the engine looks different with the removal of the sai and the installation of the oil feed line
