I recently bought a fast Mercedes-Benz. Who has the experience and/or parts sources to repair it and/or tune it?

2001 clk55 amg. US versions governed at 155 mph. German tuners hack it, tune it, and get 170 mph. M113 engine.

Look up Neal Sutton.

Back in the day he did plug to plug conversions on some cars for ECU swaps between engines
and between years of cars.

May be your best bet to do the Mercedes since he understands the principles.
He may also know how to get the needed parts for German cars.

Let us know what you find out. That way we all get smarter.

Thanks for the reply. The name you mentioned is too common to look up without more filters. I'm now focused on basic repairs: wheel bearing, motor mount, ac, etc.

For the basic repairs, contact Andreh at Insty Tune on Dale Mabry near Erhlich road.

Everything being a tradeoff....everything being a compromise...

Check out the prices at the nearest Mercedes Dealer close to you near Dunedin,
whichever that may be....versus driving over to Insty Tune and prices in Tampa.

We also have a Mercedes Dealer in Tampa.

Is the Mercedes driveable?

Start with the brakes price first.

I actually bought a part from the local dealer. It drives, but the noisy rear wheel bearing is first on the major list. It seems a press is quite useful for the replacement.
