if u really want to know......contact BMW coorporate.....or SAAB, any car company that deals in EUROPEAN DELIVERY programs.....my dad bought his 2000 BMW 5series on european delivery in like summer of '98 (yes we got it early
) ...and i when we were there we stopped at a honda dealership and i was looking to get a milano red HONDA ITR brought over, and the company that ships the BMW's over for european delivery is NOT operated by BMW, and for a fee they will ship a car anywhere in the world.....contact BMW (or whatever) and find out who they use for import/export and try to call them, ask questions, and im sure u can do somthing about it ......if i recall correctly it woulda been like 2 g's
Well then you have to get it inspected and it had to pass US standards that comply with DOT standards,This car might be considered safe by another countrys standards but not by ours.
Thats something you should get info on also.

small small example, mini coopers after a certain year cannot be imported into the US legally because they are unable to comply with US standards, I believe 67 and newer. My friend used to get them imported all the time, I'll see if I can get some better info from him for ya.
