Default looking at 1998 M3 for project.. yes or no

Hey, i am looking at a 1998 M3 vert.. with 80k on it.. the motor and tranni are out and im getting it cheap... just wondering if its a good project to get into and what you guys think i should do as far as motor? maybe prices? anything just to help me decide would be cool thanks-alex

oh and this is a project not a rush and its gonna be all the way if i do go threw lol

why are the motor and trans out, how's the title, auto or manual, define cheap the e36 m3's running are going quiet cheap now, those are some questions that would roll around in my head


motor the s52 it came with he a great motor. i'd reinstall it, if i wanted more power i'd spray 150 on it or put a couple lb's of boost.

define all the way?
wild obscene body kit if so please don't it's been done to many times and 99% of the time it looks like dog shit. all the way as in race car, keep in mind it's a vert but rolling top down with a cage is a lot of fun.

lol as far as all the way i dont mean anything but clean sitting nice with a nasty motor.. not really about the body kits and all... and the title is clean.. the motor and trans are out but he has a new head if i want it.. and its missing like a few little pieces but without motor like under a grand for sure

oh and yea first thing came to mind is black cage with the top down lol.. if i did that motor are they strong? i would plan on build the motor for sure maybe boost

for sure man i will.. im jsut gonna make sure its what i want.. ive been looking for a new project and BMW might just be it.. would you guys S/C or turbo?
