ehh im not a fan of the 2jz m3 thing the s52s and s54s are good motors and you could make the same power on them with similar mods to the 2jz. i would like to c that 2jz car up against a hp freaks stage 3 e46.
yeah you could, and you'd have to change the piston rings every like 5 thousand miles, those engines are like glass.
Engines like the S54 are great N/A engines, but i think a 2JZ is a way better option if you want some boost with it!
Sure, you can tune a S54 that it will hold some boost, but thatīs gonna cost some $.
Or take an S38-> loves boost!
I donīt know whatīs the price for a 2JZ, but an S54 costs about 23.000$ (thats ~16.000€ here in germany).
And i know that they are very sensitiv if you donīt treatīem with care!
On of my customers wrecked 3!! S54 in his M3.
Especially the first ones in Europe had massive problems with the con-rod bearing shells!
At one time the engines were throttled to 320PS instead of 343PS (in Germany) by a software-update because of the bad con-rod shells!
