man y you gonna laugh at the m10 motor lol?
there have been some impressive numbers made with an m10, i have seen over 600whp with the stock head casting and over 1000hp with an s14 head on the m10 block.

 

and how long did they last?

Not me, because the M10 is a good engine!

I think you are complaining my "LOL" about this E34 518i engine, right?
But, there´s the problem....it itsn´t an M10!
It´s an M40, and thats REALLY one of the worst engines BMW EVER build!

I know it, i use to work on them, and they are just crap!
Period!
