Default Good bank to get a loan for a bike

Anyone know a bank that will give a loan for a bike? I had a co signer with a 750 credit score and plenty of money and they Achieva wouldn't give me the loan. Ive also been to bank of America and they don't do motorcycle loans, anyone know a good bank to use?

Most credit unions are the only ones that will do bike loans it... And honestly finiancing a bike isnt a good idea as in the end you lose alot of money... Just save money and buy it cash.

As it was stated before financing a bike IS NOT a good idea...

due to it being a toy and not a main mode of transportation....the financing companies rape the fuck out of you on the APR

save the coin man...for a 5k bike financed you will end up paying in excess of 10k

believe me...its not worth it

Beater bikes are more fun than used bikes..plus you learn how to tinker. Having made the mistake of financing bikes..I would like to only pay cash from here out. You''l be bored with the bike and wanting something else LONG before you've paid it off. A year from now you'll be making payments on your bike..that is now upside down loan wise while the latest and greatest is showing up on the showroom floors. Not worth it.

If you can buy your bike with cash i'd do that over financing. Having a cosigner is a MASSIVE headache. I've never had a cosigner but I cosigned for my dad bike a few years ago and the aspect of who is responsible for the loan can come into play when you really don't need it to. It's a long story but if anyone wants to know how bad it can be, i'd definitely share the story. Personally, I have financed all of my bikes. But I have always tried to be fairly smart about it. After the deal I got on my first bike, i've learned a thing or two and have been a bit more cautious. I'm on my 4th bike now. My credit is good and I was able to qualify for a 3.99% loan for my current bike during one of those sales events. So i'm not paying a lot of money in interest but it still adds up and im still paying more than I would if I had cash.
Do yourself a favor. As bad as you might want your bike, don't finance if you need a cosigner ( obviously your credit isn't so good ) and ABSOLUTELY DON'T try to finance and let some dealer do their magic and stick you into going with some shit company like HSBC. They will make you think you are getting a good deal by keeping your payments where u want them, but you will get fucked on interest. Like some 23+% which is right around what the bottom feeder banks will offer.

What year/model bike were you trying to get anyway?

hah funny ex story

my ex cosigned on my bike (it was paid off and title in hand) but still had her name as well as mine on it.

her and her fiance were plotting on how to steal it from me because i was too lazy to go to the dmv and switch the title to just my name.

Shit like that is exactly why you don't want anyone to cosign your toys.

Is she engaged now?
