going down 54, a white county truck pulled in front of me, hit his right rear qp, bikes totaled, broken right collar bone, sprained right ankle, road rash on my lower back, knees, and ankles.

I was wearing my jacket and helmet, just got out of community hospital. pretty sccary night.

ill get some pics of the bike tomorrow.

Damn man, didn't you just get the bike painted? Sorry to hear that man, was there any chance of avoiding him or he didn't stop at a sign/light?

little story - on sat. i was with this girl and a Harley with a guy and his girl friend on the back ran into the back of her car it only bent the forks on the Harley a little and smashed the usual stuff on the front of the bike.. the guy stayed on the bike the girl went over him then over the car and landed in front of us... both of them were not wearing a helmet or any gear of any sort, she said she was ok but complained of alot of pain and headaches so i took both of them to the hospital. on the way i asked the guy why the fuck wasn't he wearing a helmet.. he said " HELMETS ARE FOR PUSSIES" i almost kicked him out on the side of the road. i think helmets should be the law for everyone..

 

Christ, lucky break you're still with us. Truck vs. bike usually ends much worse for the rider. Heal up, the county will take care of all your bills and a nice new bike when you're ready to ride again, provided you weren't hauling ass or anything that lets them pass the buck.

 

I'm not one to sue for every little thing, but since it was a COUNTY vehicle, that opens up the COUNTY for a law suit. At the very least you need time and pay from work, the full value of a new motorcycle, medical bills, and compensation for your injuries.

Just saying...might want to think about it.

yeah the bike was just a finished paint job my dad and i did together

i was in the far left lane of 54 and he just pulled right on out, i locked up and tried to go right but hit his back right qp, bounced off to the right, crawled onto the side of the road and stood up, couldnt lift my left arm and was just in shock.
