Well I kind of was, i did get hit by an old lady while on the 250 but I didnt try to wrench the throttle i hit the brakes to try and have the least possibility of me going down (it was at slow speed like 20mph.) if i would have tried to speed up (because she swerved over trying to pass a public transit bus) more then likely she would have hit my back wheel forcing me down...where as she hit my passenger helmet (hanging off the side) and my brake side footpeg.

So yes I do understand what you mean now, so maybe the 500 might be the better choice to stick with. But still put it for sale and when it sells I can get like a zx6


as for keeping out of the throttle i just seem to to speed at the wrong tme (or i used to anyways) i just dont wanna get back into bad habits

it has nothing to do with self control, it has to do with I dont want to learn how another bike sounds at a certain r.p.m....i'd rather not have to get used to another motorcycle. I'm comfortable on a 250/500.

What do i do when a car pulls in front of me...gee i've just dealt with this everyday for the past year on a fucking 250, what do i do? Gee either I slow down, or change lanes if possible. I'm comfortable on a 250...if needed be i can and will ride another bike. but i like 250's....it's all about riding what you like correct? I dont ride because I wanna be accepted by TR bike tech. I ride because I enjoy it.

i never said anything about your bike preference. but ive ridden with justin and ill take his word over yours. seeing as ive been a motorcycle instructor since i was 15 i know that if you cant manage to stay in your own lane or end up riding into the dirt, you dont have concept on how to manuver your motorcycle proficiently. so when your riding down us19 and are presented with a life or death situation thats only coming down to your skill level and luck... well doesnt sound too good for you right now. i dont mean to bash but i reccomend you open your eyes and actively seek to improve your riding skills. thanks.

 

Justin explained the basics of sport riding to me...i knew nothing about taking corners on a motorcycle, beyond msf course basics i rode with him once and that was on march 14th i think. And I took everything that he showed me and improved upon it.

Alot within riding technique has changed for me since march, I am a much more confident and much better rider now. Most of my issues within riding was i was scared of leaning the bike too far or the tires slipping.

Since i've had alot more seat time, and alot more time spent riding curvy roads my confidence behind the bars has increased. As well as I am much more proficient riding daily, which i think is the reason why in my sudden stop/cars swerving situation that i've dealt with have always turned out well.
