The first (and last) time I rode with you and your 250, you almost wrecked 3 or 4 times, and crossed the double yellow a few times as well around a corner.

Displacement has absolutely nothing to do with "keeping you out of trouble".

You're wasting your time buddy. Get a used SV650 some extra training, and you'll be well on your way to being a safe and responsible rider.

 

that was my first time doing ANY spirited riding ever...i've definitely improved since then and i've replaced my carbs since then i told u i was having bad hesitation, well one of my diaphragms were ripped. How did i almost wreck tho i was being a puss with leaning the bike and went in the dirt once. crossed double yellow twice because i was distracted, n sorta scared with tryin to take curves at 50+

as for keeping me out of trouble....i ride on US19 everywhere straight, I do 10mph over, when i rode sniper(from tsb's) fzr600 i was doing 20+ over.

 

i thought everyone on that side of the county line fucked each others cousins and had other sexual relations with animals and shit.

I'm not trying to rag on you man. You're still in my good book. But what you're saying simply doesn't make any sense.

What we were doing wasn't spirited at all really, on top of that, a higher displacement motor might actually keep you out of trouble.

There are plenty of situations on the road that you may get yourself into that you need to get away from FAST. You wouldn't trust a scooter to do that for you, and I sure as hell won't trust a 250.

So now you know how to control a motorcycle. You haven't killed yourself yet. It's time to graduate to something more capable. Even the suspension on that 250 isn't anywhere near what it probably should be.

By the way, speed limits really are irrelevant when it comes to riding. Ride at the speed that is safe; that won't put you or anyone else in danger. Making assessments relative to the speed limit really doesn't mean much on a motorcycle. "20 over" around a corner is nothing.

A used SV650 can help you grow. Being scared of a motorcycle won't.

 

i'm not scared of cornering anymore, and i understand what you're saying. I just dont see how using a 250 as a daily commuter is a bad thing...now if i decide to have a weekend rider bike i've considered another zzr600 or zx6


yeah the suspension was SHOT on the 250, so i replaced the rear shock with that of a 2008 EX500. it helped alot.


When I say it keeps me out of trouble is If I get on the throttle i dont have to worry about going into triple digits and getting pulled over. the thing about the speed limit is more so me talking about not getting pulled over and get tickets....if i get anymore tickets my license goes away again.

 

I know my higher displacement motor keeps me out of trouble. My penis feels so big I don't even feel the need to get on it. I just know, deep down inside, that my higher displacement motor intimidates everyone around me.

 

Until a cop stops you and gives you a 300 dollar ticket.
