Anyone ever go to the Dragon?
My buddy and I are planning a trip up to the Dragon's Tail/Deal's Gap/The Dragon(North Carolina/Tennessee border) in the summer and just looking to get some input on it.
I've been researching it, all the aspects of it, but the more I can acquire, the better.
If you're wondering, were trailering our bikes up there and going to run it for a day or two, then keep heading north into Virginia.

Yeah. Don't crash and stay away from the double yellow lines. Also, don't ride above your skill level and make sure you do a easy pass first to make sure there are no cops around. Don't go on a Fri, Sat, Sun either. I hear after 5shared_pm is the best time to go.

just got back from there last night.
my .02 is always stay at the resort its self. every placed else sucks and is not where the road you drove 12hours to get to is. early morning like sun rise and late as the sun goes down are best. the locals come out at night. they are fast. watch for cops.
on your way up, unload and ride blood mountain and wolf pin gap. both great.
i just did the 28 called the moonshine run this time. was fun, but more of a site seeing trip than a hard run. everyone loves the skyway, long high speed sweepers thru the mountain. i dont, i got bored. but then again i dont drag knee or feel like doing 150 all day long.
bring marshmellows for the fire pit at night at the resort. always one of the best parts of the trip. harley guys up there are different around the pit, not drunk dicks like here, but on the road they are retarded and clueless. they will fuckup every good set of corners if you let them and still cross lanes at 15mph. think roaches..
oh and nut up and run it atleast once at night, the look out to the damn is nice at night. oh and there will be no cell service or wifi anywhere. so enjoy it, but let the wifes and girls know you will be off grid for a few days. so they dont think your dead.
