Stretched And Slammed
I was supposed to have gone down there this weekend but didn't want to run the bike on the interstate for 2.5 hours in it's current state. Hopefully I can sort this crap out by Thursday because I'm supposed to go to my little sister's graduation from the police academy.

Been doing a lot of FSM sleuthing...this is from the FSM, and basically sums it up haha.
"The injection duration and the injection timing are controlled by the ECU. Signals that are input from the throttle position sensor, crankshaft position sensor, intake air pressure sensor, atmospheric pressure sensor, intake temperature sensor and coolant temperature sensor enable the ECU to determine the injection duration. The injection timing is determined through the signals from the crankshaft position sensor and the cylinder identification sensor. As a result, the volume of fuel that is required by the engine can be supplied at all times in accordance with the driving conditions."
So, it's gotta be one of these things, right? Haha. Or is it, there's an ECU diagnostic for each of these things, and everything is straight...according to my ECU...but maybe it's the problem!
Other than that I can only imagine the fuel pump or FPR. Also the air induction system looks like it may have a place in this.
I noticed under the poor medium and high speed performance troubleshooting, one of the things is is improper valve clearance. How do you guys feel about this? I know I have poor random performance, but got me thinking.

Well, my gas light came on. Went 10 miles with it on and the bike continues to run better as I run out of gas lol.
New game plan: Ride till I'm on fumes and put <1 gallon of gas in at a time. Problem solved. It's bullet proof!

I just gotta hunch, okay....just a hunch. Take the gas tank cap off, start the bike up (almost full on gas) and let it idle. Rev it and such. I'm thinking maybe you might not have enough venting in your tank?
