I didn't want to have to worry about a monthly payment because my income isn't set in stone as you know.

I just checked with Geico... full coverage would be 5200 a year. That's more than the bike!
If I got just Bodily Injury & Property damage, it goes down to like 400 a year.
i dont see the need on property damage, but bodily injury saved me since my accidnet i had a lot of injury... shop around whoever you have insurance with your car you're driving it will probably be the cheapest.

the Collision was what made the plan skyrocket. I tried a few different combinations of numbers.

but I will check with the insurance company my car is covered by tomorrow.

i have heard that state farm will do just basic and comp. comp covers it getting stolen, and other weird things, like say a deer runs out in front of you on a random road, you run wide to avoid it and the bike gets totaled. so pretty much any crash no involving another car that you can blame on something else.

or so i've heard.

GEICO wanted 400 a month for me as statefarm wanted 200... i paid 200 for full on my truck and 200 for full on my bike... but then statefarm dropped me when i got my dui.

in all my researching of insurance you are right Ace, Collision is what kills the cost. Even with $1000 deductables. It's just logic that you will get charged a lot for collision coverage ...

to me right now it's not worth the cost, that's why both my and my gf's bikes don't have the collision coverage.

so far everyone I've talked to that rides says to talk to state farm. I definitely plan on doing that.

the boyfriend also suggested to skip out on collision for now.

I just need to do more research. I have a few more weeks before I have the bike together and can ride anyway.

Thanks for all the help you guys.
