why would you have a 06 or 07 with zero miles on it? someone is don't some weird shit, arn't they.

haha

i'm going to say, i wouldn't want to be the one trying to get a tag and title for a 06 with zero miles on it. there may be some questions asked.

+1, that and if you're "building" the bike i would also have questions about the build.

well anything can be done, when the paper work is right. but just make sure you either have someone thats done it before. or research it.

people do have to replace speedo's on cars from time to time. but i think you have to show proof of the new one and there's sticker you must put on the door and the title says it.

no clue on a bike thou.

ok its deff being built by someone who's done it multiple times before, i have the 06-07 frame with clean title (checked the vin) and then a choice between two motors...
one he's used before for one of his race seasons that has some work done to it and a few more horse power. i was kinda iffy about that, because do i really need more power for my first bike? nahh not so much, but they said that it's all in the top end so i wouldnt be using it for a while anyway.
the other is new which i saw last night sitting on top of its crate in the shop. i thought the new one was a better idea. i could be wrong.

the whole deal is going to be legit, because i was concerned about it at first too. i know multiple people who get their bikes worked on at his shop, he re-did the boyfriends 636 when he got hit by a drunk driver and did the custom paint as well. he's going to title the bike to himself first & have it inspected, and then transfer the title over to me.

does it still sound fishy?

Im not sure how all of these young people get such cheap motorcycle insurance. I am 25 with a fairly clean record and most places want around 90 / month per bike. Surprisingly, the cbr600rr costs more to insurance than the gsxr 750.

note: I do not have insurance, I am not going to pay some douche bag $300 / month for motorcycle insurance.

sounds good, and ya you with more power = you're light enough as is so it's all the power actually pushing the bike... what CC is the engine? also are you pulling any sort of loan or such for this bike or doing a payment plan or paying for the bike all off? when i do get a bike again i am def putting full coverage on the bike, it saved my ass when my bike was totaled, and helped me out in the sueing part because i sued my insurance that was on the bike (make sure you get uninsured motorist too). just remember people in FL cant drive worth shit and more then half the people driving dont have insurance like they should, which is not a good situation if the person hits you and neither have insurance.

+1 i was thinking the same thing, but they might not have full coverage which is a big difference if something happens.

It's a 07 gsxr 600. No loan or payment plan, just paying cash for it.
I didn't want to have to worry about a monthly payment because my income isn't set in stone as you know.

I just checked with Geico... full coverage would be 5200 a year. That's more than the bike!
If I got just Bodily Injury & Property damage, it goes down to like 400 a year.
