Default studdering on acceleration need help!!!!

Well guys I was having a studdering/ bogging issue on my bike so I took it to a mechainic, had the carbs rebuilt/cleaned and also had new plugs put in(NGK R's). It seems once it gets to a certain point in mid range it studders on acceleration. I really wanna get my bike running right. New plugs, rebuilt and newly cleaned carbs, the coils are good and im stummped. Any help is appreciated. Btw its a 95 Honda 900RR with a 97 motor if that matters

i know carbed bikes have electronic ign but i'm going to say i've never heard of any of them have a code in a ecu. since without fuel injection. you shouldn't have a ecu.

i think you got screwed by your mechanic.

^ +1.

Do you have any aftermarket mods done to it? High flow filter, jet kit, cutting holes in any airbox, carb retuning? Anything like that?

I've never worked on your year bike. but here's my guess. that black box controls the timing, it only uses those sensors as inputs for what timing is needed. I've never heard of resetting one. in fact I always thought when they go bad, they just stop working and the bike doesn't run.

don't reading any of this thinking I know what I'm talking about. because I don't. but can't hurt to throw my guess out there.

let us know what it was when you get it fixed. so I can see if my guess is right.

but as bamf said. has anything been done to the bike, like changes to the air box? or some of the older bikes have rubber tubes from the air box to vents somewhere. I rode a hacked up zx9 once that was fucked up. after the owner put two rubber air horn looking things back in. it cleared right up and hauled ass.

anyways.. if all else fails, a good shop with a dyno that logs air/fuel and can tune carbs should be able to figure out what's wrong.

the bike starts up with no issues at all, I bought the bike and it had wiring issues and possibly still does. If anyone is good with wiring I have the book but electrical absolutely isnt my thing. The bike fires rt up without any issues u cant even tell it has issues unless u ride it. It starts and idles perfect

why didnt the mechanic fix your issue? Take it back to them and let them fix it. If he any kind of worth a fuk then he'll fix it.
