Huh? What ammo are you shooting and what GUNS are you shooting it from?

Most of Wally World's ammo is alright. Not good, but alright.

You can have your 1911. I'll take my sexy-ass Sig P225/P6.

I had one shell get lodged in the barrel, and a couple rounds where the slide didn't slide fully closed. I'm still a noob and I've heard from everyone that I shouldn't use Wally-World ammo (I think it's Winchester or something else, both the FMJ's and hollow points).

winchester white box isnt that bad of an ammo.

stop holding the gun like a woman, thats why your slide is jamming.. you're limp wristing it.

dont ask me how i know this

Yup. Sounds like your limp wristing it. Btw, buy the blazer brass. It is cheaper then the win white box and better in my opinion. WWB has gotten to be really dirty lately.

Blazer is a better choice, but the Winchester is okay ammo, too. It isn't the ammo's fault if it isn't feeding. Clean your gun, polish your feed ramp, stop limp wristing - all possibilities.

Makes sense, but It's not because I'm not cleaning it, and I think that I grip the weapon firmly, but hell, I could be wrong. I clean and lube it after every range day. I don't know how to "polish the feed ramp" though. What do you polish it with and how?

Its generally something you give it to some sort of gunsmith to do. Polishing it promotes better feeding in case your rounds are getting snagged on the feed ramp. If there are any gouges in the feed ramp, or burrs, or roughness, or anything like that, polishing it will get rid of them. If your rounds aren't snagging on the feed ramp then nevermind, but thats the #1 common problem of not feeding.

Also note that the flat-nosed Winchester White Box ammo doesn't feed well in some guns. Those same types of guns often have problems feeding hollow point ammo. The rounded tip JHP rounds should still feed alright in these guns...but again, this brings me back to my comment abou the feed ramp to address this problem.
