When I last spoke to him, he was trying to raise a significant amount of money to work out some kinks with safe containment and consumable carbon tips.

After seeing how it works and was engineered, the link above is similar but has some key differences that will probably prevent it from working.

It is all over the web. Just do a search for Hydrogen Generator and see how many hits you get on it and the number of rednecks blowing up water botles with hydrogen. I went to www.water4gas.com also try this guy out he will help anyone that eamils him for free. http://www.smacksboosters.110mb.com/ I just helped a freind put together a hydrogen generator and it will be tested on a truck soon. Making hydrogen is easy geting the computer on your car/truck to understand it needs less gas is the issue. Works best on a carbureted vehicle. Technology has been around for 90 years. Got a guy at work that hooked it into his car, still waiting to hear his gas savings if any.

yeah turbokaw, i was just thinking how they are gonna "fool" the computer into putting less gas into the manifold. the way i see it, it needs to dump less gas. also im not sure how the oxgyen sensors are gonna react to it.

it would be really cool to get this working on a car. sounds like a headache but with this gas prices nowadays, i am willing to try it.

nice try, let us know when you think of something else.
Uh, have you ever heard of distilling water? Not to mention they're not actually pumping water into the engine, but rather a gas made from it...

As far as tuning out some fuel, couldn't you use something as simple as an S-AFC-type device to solve that problem?

gm has already produced a water powered car and out of the exhaust comes nothing but water and water vapor

There are a couple of boxes people sell. Just a couple of resistors to change the voltage coming form the O2 sensor back to the computer. Also have to worry about the MAP and/or MAF sensor. Guy at work fed his tinto the intake after the MAP and it seemed to help. Will find out this week if he has seen any change in consumption.

there is no way this could do anything guys...

Hydrogen is what your making, and for a car to run off from that, it needs a shit ton of it and compressed to like 5000psi in a tank and even then it pretty much blows as a car fuel. it just doesn't have the btu per pound of weight you have to carry around vr gas... even at 4$ a gal.

as for the little bit you are releasing from a jar of water, and sucked into your intake. I just don't believe it will even cover for the 10 to 20amps your alt has to put out extra.

if it did somehow work, I could easily tune for the extra since I have all the tuning programs for my car and a wide band for it. wouldn't be any harder than tuning for e85 or something. which we really really need to hurry up and get around here. think race gas for cheap at your local pump. even thou it takes almost 2xs as much of it was gas lol. it makes big power then built and tuned for.

now if you built some huge solar powered setup for your house, some how collected it and could use it to fill a real hydrogen tank and build a fuel system for your car to run off from it. that may almost work, but again it would take months to fill a tank and solar panals are big $ and just running the setup off your home electric would prob run your electric bill up higher than the gas savings.

Its Hydrogen and Oxygen. How is it any different than a browngas torch, lamp, or the like? It cant be a replacement for gasoline, but surely it can reduce the amount of gas you need for combustion.

Idk much about electrochemistry but from a pure spliting perspective

say you have 1 liter of water. that's about 1kilo of water at room temperature. 18 grams per mole, 1kilo has 55.55 moles of water. 55.55moles of H2, 27.2 moles of O2. not an ideal gas, but lets pretend. so V=nrt/P

665.4 Liters of O2
1358.977 liters of H2

of potential in a perfect system from a single liter of water. tote around a few liters on a system that pumps out 30-50 liters an hour to supplement the oxygen in the normal air intake and throwing some H2 in there...the mixture of which burns great at internal combustion temperatures... you cant tell me that it wont give you better milage.
