get a damn scooter. the last thing this state needs is another squid wheelieing and being a dumbass.

jk

for a kid like you, id start out with a 250 saves gas and is fun. get comfortable and lots of practice. move up on bigger bikes later if money permits.

you will drop the bike no matter what, its part of riding. so buy the fugliest bike you can imagine and save up on a good one later when you are a little bit better on riding and "mature" enough to control the throttle.

ride with gear, no exceptions. dont act and try to look cool by not wearing a helmet. if i see you i would fucking smack you in the back of the head, lol.

goodluck and let us know what you get. but please dont get a suzuki coz its the shit. go to a motorcycle dealership and sit on all bikes. pick which feels better. consider seat softness and bike height (if you are tippytoeing).

between the 06 r1 and the 06 zx6r, i like the kawasaki in terms of seat softness and riding position.

personaly im partial too the k6/7 zuki's. they are thinner and fit me better. the seat on the kawi is thicker but also wider at the crotch and is uncomfortable for me. the passing light on zuki's is also a great feature.

And despite common misconception, performing a wheelie to be more visible while passing a vehicle isn't the best practice in the DMV's mind.

wheelies dont kill... stupid people do. most beginers get the "hey look at me" show off attitude. thats why a 250 or 500 will be my sugestion..
