Funny you should say that lol. Because now, if you're busted for possesion of marijuana under a certain weight you're only getting a ticket, but yet you're gonna go to jail for going 30 over. Go figure that they are cracking down on people on the roads but not drugees.

To be honest I have never had any bad run ins with law enforcement. I have been let of up until recently for a lot of things. I plan on becoming a law enforcement officer in the near future. I am not going to run, at the same token just pay more attention to my speed. I know its really easy to speed on a bike. I have been "warned' by LOEs while doing about 100 or so in my Z and they flip the lights on then turn em off. I have been pulled over for being a complete dick weaving in the Supra through traffic on 275, I expected to a ticket and he just said "its one thing to speed on your bike..." I still don't know what he meant, but in either case he let me off with a warning. Before that I ran a red light on accident (construction on roads I was too busy looking at road elevations) and he only gave me a ticket for expired insurance (mail still went to fathers house when I moved out for USF). The first time I got pulled on the bike he said "I'm surprised you pulled over" and let me off.

The only bad experiences I have had is one cop almost hit me pulling out from the parking lot where he was gunning and came into my lane. He gave me a lesser ticket for "failure to obey a traffic control device" I was happy for that even though it was like only $30 or so cheaper. The other time I was pulled over by an unmarked Charger and he just got to the point showed me his Laser with the speed and gave me a ticked. I can't expect much from him because thats all the unmarked cars like that do.

I understand if they are a dick because the deal with the lowest of the low every day. One of the instructors for my class is a Pinellas County Sheriff and I hear stories. The bottom line is I'll speed less and just ave to face the music.

I am not on TR as much so forgive me for jumpin in late here... after reading everything...Its apparent its 2 sides... Runners and Cops lol... Me personally.. I will not stop... im one of the many who have been screwed over many times.. I have multiple CCs(civilian complaints) with IAD at PCSO...for cops misusing their authority..I have had one cop suspended for Harrassment..I have friends on both largo and clearwater departments.. They repeatedly tell me how they despize half of the officers in their department..mainly for their conduct and lack of professionalism with everyone they deal with...

Many cops have a God complex... Although this law may slow some down , and cost others their lives , it will not change the generalized population.. People will be people.. and soon here after , another law will be passed because this one did nothing... there will be another post about how corrupt the cops are , how the law is shitty , there will be people like us in here debating about it , there will be officers like some in here making a valiant attempt to justify their cause...but again , nothing will change..so i say , why do we even give a shit... were gonna do what we do , where we do it , the cops were there before , and their still there now... I will not lose sleep over this law , and i will surely not lose my endorsement privelages or my paycheck..i speak for my self , but your effort to rationalize why this law is useful is almost as pathetic as ur attempt to pull me over..

The Politicians who are being referenced for being law makers... How many of them has lost a loved one due to or maybe coulda been prevented by one of the laws they have passed... I doubt not many...someone said its heartfelt ... how is one to feel whole heartedly about a law they helped create if they have never felt the impact behind the reasoning for their laws...

theres my rant , i refuse to argue with anyone about my opinion or what i have written , but i will reply if its respectful
