first knee drag and ...
i was riding on an on ramp for an airport here in palm beach.. well i took a turn knee dragging on jean
and i was doing maybe about 80-90, and as im coming out of the turn, wam, i hit like a gap on the road which is about 1-2 inches, the whole steering went crazy as fuck (seen this before but never experienced it) all sorts of thoughts ran thru my mind, then finally a good one, i hugged the tank hard with my legs, and held the steering as hard as hell, then gas it a lil, and got control of it .. i thought i was gonna lose it for sure
any of you had this problem ? does the steering stabilizer thing help out in cases like this ? if so i think ima get one asap cuz that shit scared the living poop out of me

if you are getting steering wobble you are not supposed to hold on tight. you are supposed to let your arms float and let the wobble work itself out. you coulda hurt yourself pretty bad holding on like that man.
the thing was the wobble happened while i was still on the turn, i wall all over the road, thank god the road was about 4 lanes

even during a turn. just keep your arms real loose. if you try to hold onto it tight it'll send you veering into another direction or worse.
not having your suspension properly setup will give you really bad headshake when doing turns. before i got my suspension setup correctly almost every corner id come out of accelerating hard my front end would wobble untill the bike was completely straight up and down.
another thing to think about is body positioning, from what it sounds like you were riding improperly.. then once you got the slapper going you decided to secure the bike with your legs/knees. you shouldnt wait till this happens, you should always be riding with your legs/knees/ankles grabbing onto the frame. this makes the bike MUCH more stable throughout everyday riding and esp at speeds.
another thing, when getting a tank slapper, speed wobble ECT you should have a FIRM grip with your legs/knees but have a LOOSE upperbody. your bikes frame/suspension is some high tech shit, as long as YOU are positioned properly and keep a steady throttle it will work itself out.
