sounds like what happened to me on my 00' gixxer 600 back in 03.. cept i was doing about 135 in a long sweeper and hit a reflector.. i got out of the tank slap and proceeded to the nearest suzuki shop.. got a busa.. true story!

fix ur suspension, get a damper, or get a better bike.. i went the easy route of fixing that problem.. i got a better bike that had a steering damper.. after that busa was stolen i went to an 01 R1 and if u were on these forums back in 04-05 you would know the problems i went through with it wobbling at 50+ mph.. the steering damper fixed the problem till bout 115 or so.. after that fucker caught fire 2 or 3 times i traded it in for another busa.. hence y i refuse to buy a yamaha ever again.. and yes it handles great in the corners.. and for me alot more comfortable on long trips which i do often.. a 750 would be my second choice in bikes..
