OK Now I got your attention. I was wondering what would a good starter bike be? I'll be going into the Marines in a few months and my mother said if I do end up going in she will buy me ANY bike I want, so I want to get a good starter bike now and get used to riding. My buddy had a Honda CBR (no clue on the CC).

Any help is appreciated.

haha god stu. Yeah I was gonna get an 08 Busa after I was done. I want something cheap and simple for now.

 

do you have any riding experience at all? ive rode almost all the 600's and the gixxer600 is prolly the better one of them all.

 

Yeah I've grown up on 4-wheelers (clutchless and clutch ones) and I used to have a little dirt-bike when I was a kid.

Ninja as a re-learning bike?

 

How about anything used? All these 08s everyones throwing out are nice but my problem is a re-learning bike. Something like a 2000-2006 ish. Something cheaper, I'm only gonna have it for a 4-6 months.
