Finished race bike
also, for bright colors (yellow, orange, red, ect.) always use a light primer or shoot a 1st coat of white, the base coat will come out brighter.
I'm not bust'n, just give'n some pointers to help ya in the future
theres allot more to painting than aim and shoot, btw, did you get a mix chart for the paint you used, how much hardener, dry time, nozzle size, ect? all that plays a real big roll in the prep work, not just sand paper, also, did you wipe with static cloths just before painting, they help wipe the dust off and help the paint cling to the surface.
jfyi, there is allot of nice paint jobs @ the track, a buddy of mine does allot of paint jobs and body repair at the track, some of them shouldnt be on the track, they should be in a showroom

need tires (take offs)? PM me
need a deal on a track day? PM me
disclaimer: I sell used tires (take-offs), these tires have been used at Jennings, Homestead, etc. (road courses for those that dont know) therefor these tires are more used up on the sides than in the middle,

first I did say it looked good and that we do see eye to eye on the 10ft rule, but exactly like I said, you need a bigger compressor, I saw your compressor in 1 of the pics, and well it is what it is. with only 33 gals of air, the compressor cant keep up with the gun therefore you will have faded areas, or in your case, you have to apply 3 coats of red, plus it doesnt help to lay red on top of black.
also, for bright colors (yellow, orange, red, ect.) always use a light primer or shoot a 1st coat of white, the base coat will come out brighter.

My bad, i didn't take it in a bad way and i hope you didn't either. I am just curious on how to do it like the pro's. The paint i used didn't use hardener or mix anything. And i know there are a lot of bike out there that are showroom condition i just would hate my self if i laid a showroom bike down. That is why i bought a track bike, instead of using my daytona at the track. Thanks for the tips and any more info would be great help for my next paint job. Thanks again for all the help.
damn....love both those bikes lol
