Oh, by dead spot I didn't mean out-of-powerband, by dead spot I meant area where the throttle doesn't actuate the throttle cable. Have you ever ridden an electric bike? At very first the throttle turns a bit and nothing happens - it just made the bike feel like a toy, just like an electric minibike. I'm sure it was the fastest bike out on the range that day and might almost hang with my 750 cruiser.

Psst, cops don't pull over my kind of bikes for no reason. I must be on the right track with my opinions.

I have been told that is the ghettoist sportbike out there. It was still kinda difficult to rest my feet firmly on the ground - one day I'll have to climb on something a little larger and see what it feels like - maybe it'll fit a little better.

Those 250's are not really "sportbikes" in my book. They are fun for a little while, but you can't really take them all that seriously. I took the course, and It was a great bike to learn on. I'd never ridden a bike before the class, and that little thing scared me when you twist the throttle. You get accustomed to the thing really quick and think that it's slow by the end of the second day.

The bike and class really does prepare you well for the streets though. I hopped onto a sportbike and felt comfortable enough to ride like 50 miles home. Why are you guys having such a stupid argument? If you don't like what he has to say, don't post in his thread, and if you don't like what someone posts in your thread, don't respond to them.

Have fun riding legally now...

Nice try... but let's stay on topic here ok... cause I frankly don't see any reason to try and call a sportbike anything other than a sportbike, and the fact that the sportbike terminology gets other idiots to flock together against them hardly makes for an excuse for you to try and find comfort in something that wasn't designed for comfort.... its dumb.

You don't see me or anyone else on here taking a cruiser to a fav twisty road & complaining that it is slow, sluggish & barely able to stop if ridden spiritedly. It just wouldn't make sense. Cruisers are not intended to be ridden like sportbikes. So why try and find comfort in a sportbike? Its designed for a diff purpose... and don't bring the lame soccer moms & faggot ass politicians into this to support your point... it has nothing to do with you trying to find comfort on the floor with a perfectly good couch in sight...

And for the record... I'm all grown up... I'm 17 going on 16.

Why you trying to find fault on what you don't like... we are supposed to be bretheren in the hobby we like most. We should be sticking together & waving at all those on all kinds of two wheels having fun on the roads.

Yeah there are some tools out there on sportbikes... you must be the equivalent of that in the cruiser croud.

This thread sucked from the get go... it makes as much sense as a football bat!
