gpcrew. look a this in response to your stupid sig.

The Honda rider was traveling at such a "very high speed", his reaction time was not sufficient enough to avoid this accident. Police estimate a speed of 155mph before the bike hit the slow moving car side-on at an intersection . At that speed, they predicted that the rider's reaction time (once the vehicle came into view) wasn't sufficient enough for him to even apply the brakes. The car had two passengers and the bike rider was found INSIDE the car with them. The Volkswagen actually flipped over from the force of impact and landed 10 feet from where the collision took place.

All three involved (two in car and rider) were killed instantly. This graphic demonstration was placed at the Motorcycle Fair by the Police and Road Safety Department. The sign above the display also noted that the rider had only recently obtained his license .

At 155 mph the operator is traveling at 227 feet per second. With normal reaction time to (SEE-DECIDE-REACT) of 1.6 seconds the above operator would have traveled over 363 feet (21 yards more than the length of a football field) while making a decision on what actions to take. In this incident the police indicate that no actions were taken.

a bike at 185 is still just as deadly as that cop car.

well first let me say that "Police estimate" has never been right about anything!!! EVER!

so there's no telling what really happened that day. but yes, getting hit in the side by a bike at 180 would suck... good thing it doesn't happen often at all, and the one time is does, it gets carted around like a prize. unlike head on crashes with drunk drivers that happen all the damn time and you will never see those pics all over the net or even make the papers, cause its not news, everyone drives when they shouldn't from time to time. cops are ok with it, and laws say they can't sit outside bars to test everyone leaving, which is bullshit if you ask any non-drinker..... we have bigger fish to fry and no one cares, so don't except me to side with a cop killing a biker.

still say if crashing into the guy is ok, why not just shoot him as he rides by your road block.

This depends on what the guy did before he ran.

If he was wanted for something stupid like a traffic violation the cop should lose his badge. After all, we cannot have cowboy cops that want to play hero or cannot control their adrenaline in uninform.

If he was wanted for armed robbery where he just shot someone the cop should be congratulated for a job well done. After all, we cannot allow violent offenders to think they can just hop on a sport bike and they are free and clear.

I don't think we can tell enough from the video to pass judgement either way.

i am not siding with the cop in this instance but if the guy wasn't running this wouldn't have happened. My post was off topic and in response to gpcrews sig that would have the average idiot believing that being hit by a bike at 185 is alot less dangerous than getting hit by a cop car. They will both kill you. it has nothing to do with drunk drivers. His sig is an ignorant stab at the police and has no merit behind it. I know a lot of you guys are narrow minded idiots that think all cops are bad and out to get you so what I say wont change your opinions, just attempt to think about what you put in your sig so you don't come off looking like a complete idiot.

The guy on the bike was obviously in the wrong for running. But was the cops actions justifiable?? Absolutely not.

For all we know this could be some young kid who made a wrong decision... or for that matter any age person who made a wrong decision.... and for the cop to take him out and maybe paralyze or kill that person. Complete bullshit.

The way i look at it is. People are gunna run. and if the cop just shut down the pursuit what is the guy gunna do? slow down and ride normal. and the cop can get him another day. instead of puting that person, the cop, and innocent people in danger.

Nuff said.
