beleive me when i say you can go a lot lower. if your not draggin peg you still got plenty of room. not to mention they make adjustable pegs so that you can go lower and lower...you shouldnt be pushin it on the street anyways man. i take it easy. its not worth it, i save it for the track. lean off more!
If the rear feals loose while cornering it is because you are not on the throttle. You bike (while stationary) has a 50/50 front to rear weight bias. While cornering you need to transfer weight to the rear (by using the throttle) to achieve a 40/60 weight distribution. Remember that the rear wheel steers the bike not the front.
