Default running from cops

lets say i pass by a cop maybe a lil above speed limit, and he decides to pull me over, and i start to run, but then realise i have no way out and i dont wanna kill myself
and i pull over for him, can i got to jail ? if so for how long and wat kind of tickets and wat not do i get ?

just wondering i sorta did that, i down shifted and got on it but then just pulled over, he knew wat i did and was nice about it, and let me go after everything checked out, but i wanna know wat happens if some other cop is a le bag of douche

I think they can impound your bike, and legally kick you in the nuts.

My "guess" is that it will be dependent on the individual LEO as well as your driving history and other environmental factors.

Possible scenarios:

The rider pulls over and is ticketed for minor violations (receives stern talking to) and everyone lives to fight another day.

The rider pulls over and is ticketed for more serious violations, goes to jail, bike is impounded / confiscated and everyone lives to fight another day.

The rider runs and they or LEO is injured (or worse) as a direct result and and not everyone lives to fight another day.

However, I would like to tell you that being responsible and taking accountability for one's actions (even when we are being "stupid") will be viewed upon more favorably by those who judge....

once you start running you have a one in a million chance of not going to jail...

basically, if your going to run.. be ready to deal with the consequences.

You're still getting your ass kicked and going to jail. Cops are not your friends, and they aren't paid to be understanding. They don't give two shits about you, and would love to see your bike impounded, you in jail, and another notch on their resume.

COPS are people.
Some good, some bad.
Nothing more, nothing less.
Far from perfect, just like the rest of us.

And if you do run and get caught having placed numerous innocent bystanders (women and children) at unnecessary risk for harm....
a good old fashion ass beatin sounds appropriate.... take your lumps and man up....
you are not a victim at this point, you are just an irresponsible liability getting their due.

I will agree with that to a degree... the majority of cops do get a 'high' from seeing others upset and in trouble... and Bikers are on most cops shit lists too , whether their doing anything wrong or not...With my driving back ground , from mostly street racing cars back in the day , i will most likely get a ticket whether im in the wrong , or minding my own business...i wont admit to running , cause of the lovely LEOs that frequent this forum

+1 on the scenarios cecil.... it really depends on each and every situation...

you can go to jail a nice little 10k bond to get out or if ur lucky you can just get rord, and you can lose ur bike and face up to like 5 years in prison, lose ur license for a year, and pay a shit load of fines, sometimes its easier to just take the damn ticket lol
